Cue Feature Icons

The key features of each cue will be indicated by the icons shown underneath the cue description. These are explained below.

Rapid Release Joint – A precision made joint which will enable you to lock or unlock your cue in seconds.

Machine Spliced Hardwood Butt – The hardwood butt is spliced into the shaft wood for a rigid and stable stick.

WPS White Platinum Shaft – A white platinum coating is applied to the shaft to reinforce and give a slick finish. Just wipe with a soft cloth for a smooth action through your fingers.

Machine Spliced Rosewood Butt – The rosewood butt is spliced into the ash shaft for a rigid and stable cue stick. Then, highly polished to bring out all of the features of Rosewood as one of the finest exotic woods in its natural state.

BDS Black Diamond Shaft – A black diamond coating is applied to the shaft to reinforce and give a slick finish. Just wipe with a soft cloth for a smooth action through your fingers.

Rosewood Hand Spliced Butt – Selected rosewoods laid over ash in the traditional fashion – the result is a professional cue stick selected by champions.

SSS Spiral Stainless System – Precision machined stainless steel joint.

Machine Spliced Ebony Butt – “Ebony” is acknowledged to be the finest material that a cue craftsman uses for the perfectly balanced cue, spliced into a premium ash shaft for the perfect match.

SBS Spiral Brass System – Precision machined brass joint.

Ebony Hand Spliced Butt – The ultimate marriage of ebony laid over ash in the traditional fashion, resulting in a professional cue stick selected by champions.

Blue Diamond Tip – The choice of champions. For the perfect “touch” between tip and ball.

Metallic Finished Butt – A high gloss reflective finish.

BCE Blue Tip – Selected from the finest leathers the BCE Blue Tip will grace any cue.

Matching Ash Grain Cue – Take a selected North American ash shaft, which is then cut for a two piece configuration. A precision joint is then carefully inserted to line up the features for which ash wood is famous.

11mm Screw Tip – The tip can be replaced quickly, just “screw off” and “screw on” with a replacement.

Machine Spliced Birds Eye Maple Butt – Only the finest birds eye maple is selected for this range. Polished and stained to bring out the beauty of this “King of Woods”.

XS Shaft. Premium Ash Shaft – Selected North American ash is the choice for this, the top of the range shaft. Beautiful features and straight grain, demanded by top pros and discerning players.

Pearlised Inlay – Introduced recently into the BCE Riley portfolio. Available in a wide range of colours, the pearlised effect will enhance the cosmetics of your cue.

PS Shaft. Performance Ash Shaft – A high performance ash shaft, suitable for mid range cues used by the enthusiastic amateur player.

AA Shaft – Hand selected North American ash, kiln dried to the optimum humidity to provide the ultimate in cue ball control. Simply the best.

HSS Shaft. Hardwood Standard Shaft – Hardwood from sustainable forests is selected in the manufacture of this item. Used in entry level cues, usually with a screw tip.

Smart Extender Extension Piece – This icon indicates the Smart Extender is included with this cue (usually 9” in length).

Ebonised Butt – A simulation of the full butt design is applied using the latest spray stain technology.

Smart Extender Compatible – This icon indicates that the cue is fitted with a metal insert in the base of the butt which will accept the extension, which can be purchased separately.

Ebonised Four Point Butt – A simulation of the four points is applied using the latest spray stain technology.

Smart Extender Case – The case is designed to accept your personal cue, together with a 9” Smart Extender.
